PC Jeweller Ltd. closed Day One at India International Jewellery Week 2017 powered by GIA with a spectacular show that left the audience breathless with wonder. The Gem and Jewellery Export Promotion Council (GJEPC), apex body of the gems & jewellery sector, presented the 7th edition of the India International Jewellery Week (popularly known as IIJW) powered by GIA (Gemmological Institute of America); co-partnered by Forevermark and Platinum Guild International on 23rd and 24th September 2017 at St. Regis, Mumbai. IIJW 2017 is a BY INVITATION exclusive annual event to showcase or launch enticing jewellery collections. Bright Outdoor Advertising is the Outdoor Partner.

Bringing the show to a crescendo was the very beautiful Dia Mirza who looked every inch a glorious bride with a shoulder-to-shoulder scalloped necklace, cocktail ring, long danglers and an elaborate ornate Maatha Patti.

Taking a bow at the end of the show was the very dynamic designer of the collection Nupur Vasdev.

The glittering “Swarn Dharohar” collection by P C Jeweller Ltd was a perfect end to Day One at India International Jewellery Week 2017 powered by GIA.
The story of PC Jeweller Ltd is as glamorous as the collections from the company. From a single store in Karol Bagh, New Delhi in 2005 the company now has 84 stores in 19 states and a turnover of US $ 1 billion. In its seventh year, P C Jeweller went public and is one of the few listed jewellery companies in the country. The brand manufactures, retails and exports jewellery with 100 per cent hallmark gold jewellery, certified diamonds and silver items.

PC Jeweller’s ‘Flexia’ brand is the unique detachable jewellery for the youthful trendsetters, while ‘Azva’ is for the wedding wear segment. 60 expert designers have created the fabulous designs for the Indian and foreign markets.

To the strains of live vocal and instrumental Rajasthani folk music P C Jeweller proudly presented the magnificent “Swarn Dharohar” collection inspired by the mosaic of royal Rajasthan. Divided into three distinct segments – Gotta Patti, Blue Pottery and Pichwai

THE GOTTA PATTI SECTION
Here was a true bridal line, which was inspired by Jodha Bai and the regal Princess Diya Kumar. This is an interesting appliqué technique where the gotta is a strip of gold cloth in varying lengths which is woven on red or magenta pink. Great Raani Haars appeared with pearls and emeralds with gorgeous centre pieces, while gold, pearls, emeralds and precious stones were part of the ornate collection.

THE BLUE POTTERY LINE
This section paid homage to the free spirited and modern life of the Banjara tribe of the state. Here it was the blue that was the centre of attraction for the cocktail rings and grand chokers. Enamel work was in the forefront for the multi-pronged bangles, pearl Raani Haar with enamelled centre, cute handbags, clutches and gold buttons and brooches for the men.

THE PICHWAI LINE
This was the Seva theme based on different seasons and paintings to depict the moods of the season. Raani Haars and chokers, danglers and bangles along with large wide diamond necklaces with centre plaques, vied for attention on the ramp. Maatha Pattis made an appearance along with grand nose and septum rings with chains. Turban pins, gold buttons and lapel pins with chains were the perfect ornaments for men.

With retail outlets aimed at all segments of the buyers, the Lounge at select stores is one of the stylish additions. The online site of PC Jeweller caters to the new customer segment that moves from the super-rich to the middle and lower classes.
